Experience the charm of our Summer Café
From beginning of June to early September in 2025, our charming summer café welcomes you from Wednesday to Sunday, 12 PM to 7 PM. Picture yourself indulging in traditional Finnish sweet and savory pastries, accompanied by fragrant coffee or tea, as you gaze upon the breathtaking sea views. Treat yourself to refreshing ice cream and cold beverages on a warm summer day.
Come and discover why our rhubarb pie is particularly famous! And while you’re here, be sure to try our classic Karelian pasties often enjoyed with a generous spread of delicious egg butter, another staple of Finnish culinary tradition.
Or feel free to bring your own picnic to enjoy on our small terrace by the sea. For a true Finnish experience, you can even rent a wood or gas grill and savor your meal with the sound of the waves as your soundtrack.
Relax in our traditional Sauna ”Autere”
Experience the authentic Finnish tradition of sauna at Villa Salmela’s wood-heated ”Sauna Autere” by the sea. Feel the gentle heat embrace you as you unwind and let the stress melt away. Imagine the invigorating feeling of a refreshing dip in the sea after a relaxing sauna session!
We are delighted to offer public sauna times on several evenings – all year round! This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in Finnish culture and enjoy a truly revitalizing experience. You can even arrive by small boat to enhance your seaside sauna adventure!
